How can we use reward to create a heavenly society?
Tom: How can we use reward to create a heavenly society?
Guru: This is a rewarding question.
Tom: Then, give me a rewarding answer.
Guru: Okay, let’s start by looking at how much a worker is paid.
Tom: I am looking.
Guru: For a worldly job, how much is the worker paid?
Tom: For some jobs, they are paid very well.
Guru: How about for a spiritual job, how much is the worker paid?
Tom: Generally, they are paid next to nothing.
Guru: So the pay of a spiritual worker is lower than that of a worldly worker.
Tom: Much lower.
Guru: But if society is serious about transforming Earth into heaven, don’t you think the pay of a spiritual worker should be higher?
Tom: I was told that whoever does spiritual work, should do it for free.
Guru: But there is something wrong with this concept, isn’t there?
Tom: There is?
Guru: Okay, let me put it this way.
Tom: Which way?
Guru: You see, are spiritual workers doing good?
Tom: Of course they’re doing good.
Guru: Are there any other workers doing more good than spiritual workers?
Tom: No, spiritual workers work at the soul level. So they’re doing the highest good.
Guru: Yet their pay is low.
Tom: Could be the lowest.
Guru: Are worldly workers doing good or not?
Tom: Some are doing good and some are doing bad.
Guru: For those who are doing bad, how is their pay?
Tom: For some, the pay is high.
Guru: How high?
Tom: Could be the highest.
Guru: So our society gives high pay to those who are doing bad and low pay to those who are doing good.
Tom: Yes Guru Harry, it doesn’t look right.
Guru: It’s doesn’t sound right.
Tom: It’s telling people that it’s “better” to be bad.
Guru: It’s telling people that it’s “more rewarding” to be bad.
Tom: No wonder there are so many bad people in the world.
Guru: The world actually needs more good people, right?
Tom: But how can we have more good people?
Guru: Pay the spiritual workers higher.
Tom: Give them the highest pay.
Guru: Because they are doing the highest good.
Tom: So that we can have more good people on Earth.
